Lola

Lola has always been a yo-yo dieter, gaining and losing weight on the all-too familiar roller coaster. After a recent check-up with her doctor she left the surgery in tears and with a leaflet in hand - a 1 pager telling her how to lose weight. It talked about calories, fat and exercise.

The was most unhelpful. Both in terms of the lack of support but also the antiquated advice. Eating less and moving more = hunger, and hunger always wins, leading to overeating and weight gain. Lola needed a different approach.

Overwhelmed and under-supported we did our first session together and revealed some specific areas that needed work. She needed a shame-free safe space to discuss her relationship with food, and then we created the pathway.

For Lola it was all about snacking, specifically enduring the impact of Ultra Processes Foods and Blood Sugar. She was caught in the classic rollercoaster of eating badly every few hours, and suffering the consequences of cravings and energy slumps. She also needed an accountability tool - something she could use as her guiding star when it came to making choices, so we also incorporated some work on her Core Food Values & Identity. We used these 3 topics as the foundation for her journey. Food was always something to be enjoyed, and with that, the food she enjoyed was also to be feared - it did her no good.

Lola was so inspired by the journey that she chose to understand food for wellness better, and did an extra session with me on physiology and Satiety, cementing her knowledge and empowering her with the understanding she needed to really underpin the healthy choices she makes daily. These are easier now that she know.

Today, Lola’s eating patterns are more balanced, her energy is more stable, and her mindset around food is more empowered. She’s not just following a plan – she’s living with intention.

Lola's Experience

“I wasn’t sure where to start, but with Sarah’s help I can now make healthy choices with confidence and I feel great in my body and happy in myself. I’m no longer eating late at night, nor snacking on chocolate and crisps. With Sarah’s help I’m making meals that keep me fuller for longer, and I feel great. I don’t want to go back to the old version of me.”
